Have your say on the Regulation 19 Pre-submission draft Local Plan for Buckinghamshire |
|
Buckinghamshire Council has launched a public consultation on the draft Local Plan for Buckinghamshire 2045. This consultation, known as the Regulation 19 Proposed submission consultation, is the final opportunity to comment before the Plan is submitted for independent examination. The Plan sets out how Buckinghamshire could accommodate government housing targets while protecting the Green Belt, supporting economic growth and planning the infrastructure needed to support future communities. It includes proposals for around 91,000 homes and 270 hectares of employment land over the plan period and identifies more than 500 infrastructure projects requiring at least £6 billion of investment. This is the final stage of public consultation before the draft Plan is submitted for independent examination. At this stage, comments should focus on whether the plan is legally compliant and meets the tests of soundness – meaning has the Plan been prepared correctly, is it supported by evidence, can it be delivered in practice and is it consistent with national planning policy? All representations will be submitted to the Planning Inspector examining the Plan. All consultation documents, supporting evidence and engagement materials, including high resolution maps, are now available on the Buckinghamshire Council website. |
